However, they tend to be kind of expensive and I don't want to waste money on a fancy gadget that won't really improve my mornings. I was thinking that waking up a little slower to natural light (an alarm/light that slowly gets brighter) might help me with the transition from sleeping to being awake, especially since I keep my room fairly dark at night. Ideally, I'd like to get up at about 8, but my job just doesn't allow for any flexibility there. I've always had a hard time getting out of bed, despite usually feeling okay once I'm showered and getting ready. I usually hit snooze at least twice, despite putting my alarm clock all the way across the room and laying out everything I need for the morning the night before. I've literally slept through a fire alarm before. I typically fall asleep within 10 minutes of getting in bed and rarely stir until morning. I typically go to bed about 11 and try to wake up between 6 and 6:30, so the amount of time isn't an issue and I think I feel normal levels of tiredness throughout the day, I just really hate getting out of bed. When I do manage to get there, there isn't any line to make copies (I'm a teacher) and I can take care of any last minute crap before I have kids in my room. Work starts at 8:20 and I'm rarely there past about 8, but I'd like to be there between 7 and 7:30 every day. Like a lot of people, I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. for posts asking for advice regarding a certain plan of action Worked for them when getting disciplined. for posts where users want to share key information about what for posts discussing a particular method of getting disciplined. for posts asking for help with regards to getting disciplined for discussion of concepts relating to getting disciplined for questions regarding getting disciplined and improving your for any thoughts or discussion regarding the getdisciplined Plan your days in our daily/weekly planning threads!ĭo include a few sentences about where you want the discussion to go, noĭo not post any links or content from your blog or website before reading this.Īlways include one of the tags in your post's title.Help othersĪttain self-discipline, by sharing what helps you.
